# Marketplace subscriptions (AWS/Azure)

{maia} provides subscription and billing management features for all registered customers.

Any users with the [Billing](/docs/administration/manage-other-users#services) service enabled on their user account can [set up a subscription](#setting-up-a-subscription), and when your [free trial](/docs/administration/free-trial) has ended, upgrade it immediately.

## Marketplace billing information

Matillion can automatically bill customers through AWS and Azure Marketplace. For more information, read the appropriate documentation:

Matillion tracks and aggregates your usage, then calculates the total Credits owed based on your pricing plan. We submit this total to AWS or Azure Marketplace as a usage-based charge, with units priced at \$0.01. Although the unit price is fixed, Matillion adjusts the number of reported units to match your actual charges.

We now send Marketplace usage and associated charges every hour. This approach ensures that your consumption appears in your Marketplace billing tools as it occurs, rather than as a single update at the end of the month.

Hourly, granular reporting helps you use your Marketplace's FinOps capabilities to gain real-time visibility and accurately track your daily usage and costs.

## Setting up a subscription

  You can only subscribe to the **Developer** edition. To subscribe to any other edition, contact your sales representative.

When your 14-day Credit Based Trial ends, follow these steps to set up and manage your subscription:

1. Access [{maia}](https://app.matillion.com/billing/) and log in with your existing user credentials. These credentials will have been created during the account [registration](/docs/administration/registration) process.

2. You will be redirected to **My account**, where you can click the intended account.

   <Note>
     You can join a maximum of 25 accounts. To add a new account to your existing subscription, read [Create an account](/docs/administration/manage-accounts).

3. You will be taken to {maia} homepage. Click **Monitor credit usage** and the [Usage dashboard](/docs/administration/usage-dashboard) will be displayed.

   <Note>
     The **Monitor credit usage** button will only appear if you have the **Billing** service enabled on your user account.
   </Note>

4. To upgrade and subscribe to a paid plan, click [View pricing](https://www.maia.ai/pricing) at the top of the page.

5. Further down the page, you can choose the appropriate [payment method](#choosing-a-payment-method) for your plan.

### Choosing a payment method

Once you have built your plan, continue to scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will reach the **Payment method** section.

1. You will now be required to choose how you want to pay for your plan:

   * **Card Payment:** This payment method is available for **Pay-Go** subscriptions. Click **Select Card Payment** to enter your credit card details and billing address. In the **Shipping Address** section, you can select the **Same as billing** checkbox to automatically populate your shipping details using the billing address you entered earlier. If you prefer to use a different shipping address, clear the checkbox to enter the details manually. Once this information has been saved to your {maia} account, you will be able to use this card for future payments. You will need to select the checkbox to indicate you agree and accept [Matillion's Master Subscription Agreement](https://www.matillion.com/legal/master-subscription-agreement) before you can select this payment method.
   * **AWS Marketplace:** Click **Select AWS Payment** to pay via your AWS account. If your {maia} account is already associated with the AWS Marketplace, then you can pay directly through the marketplace by default.    * **Azure Marketplace:** Click **Select Azure Payment** to pay via your Microsoft Azure account. If your {maia} account is already associated with the Azure Marketplace, then you can pay directly through the marketplace by default. For more information, read [Azure Marketplace subscription](/docs/administration/azure-marketplace-subscription).

2. Click **Place Order** on the right, under **Your order summary**, and you will be taken to a confirmation page to finalize your subscription payment process.

### Changing your payment card

If you pay for a **Pay-Go** subscription using a credit card and want to change the card you use to pay, raise a [Support ticket](https://support.matillion.com/s/).
