# Upcoming dbt version upgrade on Maia on November 10, 2026

export const maia = "Maia";

As part of Matillion's regular platform maintenance, we are upgrading the version of dbt used on {maia} on November 10, 2026:

* Full SaaS: dbt version 1.10 is being updated to dbt version 1.12
* Hybrid SaaS: dbt version 1.9 is being updated to dbt version 1.12

This update will keep {maia} aligned with dbt Labs' support lifecycle: 1.9 and 1.10 are already unsupported by dbt Labs, and 1.11 moves out of supported (critical) status on December 18, 2026.

## What you need to do

### Upgrade date

This change will go live on November 10, 2026 for both Full SaaS and Hybrid SaaS setups of {maia}.

* If you are using a Full SaaS setup or using ephemeral tasks, both versions (1.10 and 1.12) can run side-by-side during the transition window.
* If you are using a Hybrid SaaS setup, note that this is a hard cut-over. There will be no transition period. You will need to ensure that your dbt projects are compatible with dbt version 1.12 before this date.

We recommend that you review dbt Labs' guide for [Upgrading to v1.12](https://docs.getdbt.com/docs/dbt-versions/dbt-upgrade/upgrading-to-v1.12?version=2) ahead of November 10, 2026 to confirm whether your pipelines rely on packages or behavior specific to your current version.

## If you need more time

If you need more time to prepare, you can request to remain on your current version for up to a further 30 days beyond the go-live date of November 10, 2026. Contact your Matillion account team before September 20, 2026, so we can help you prepare.
