In early 2026, we made the decision at Matillion to rebrand “Data Productivity Cloud” as a whole to “Maia”. Additionally, we have opted to rename “agents” to “runners” to free up the term “agent” for AI-related nomenclature.

Terminology changes

The following terminology changes have been made across our documentation and other assets (Academy, Certification, Support, etc) to reflect updates in our product naming: To reflect the broader scope of Maia, the term "" now reflects the AI capabilities of Maia. You might also see referred to in our marketing material as Maia Team.
